Organic Beef, Organic Wheat, Organic Flour and other beef specialty items are produced by John’s Farm in Major County, Oklahoma (near Fairview). We are products of Oklahoma pioneers who came to Oklahoma in the Land Run of 1893 to begin breaking out sod and planting trees. After farming with chemicals, commercial fertilizers and boosting the growth of livestock through artifical means we entered the world of ‘organic’. We are certified organic by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture with regular announced and unannounced inspections. Organic farming has taken presidence; our practices reflect being stewards of the soil and caring for livestock with tender, loving care. In addition, we feel our customers deserve to know what they are eating; as a result we have our beef tested to make certain it is meeting and exceeding healthy benefits. Although some ranchers claim certain breeds are better than others we feel you deserve to have test results, in other words, test don’t guess. Our livestock freely roam grass pastures from birth-to-slaughter. Our livestock receive a small amount of organic oats and organic barley (raised on our farm) and probiotic which is natural enzymes and bacteria beneficial to digestion (just like humans).
